VÍ  Vid were very pleased to be able to attend the Salon Profesiónal in Denia this week and taste the new crop of wines from DO Alicante. The tasting was held in the Cdt of the Marina Alta. 18 Bodegas attended and this is a selection of the wines which impressed us. Bocopa, the Petrer based bodega, celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. 1987 was the year that saw several small bodegas in DO Alicante pool their resources to improve their marketing prospects and production techniques and volumes. The new bodega brought together some 8000 hectares of vines, mostly in the Vinalopó and  La Marina Alta together with 1800 vineyard owners.
