We now take the opportunity to publish notes from a tasting of wines from outside our usual area (Valencia). Celler Masroig is named after its red soils. DO Montsant surrounds the smaller DO Priorat and is situated in Catalunya near Falset, to the West of Tarragona. The bodega grows permitted varieties, amongst them Garnacha Blanca and Macabeo, together with a rosado and reds from Cariñena and Garnacha Tintorera. Introduction. Sunday 22 saw the 145th tasting of the Circulo de Vino de Pedralba, in which we presented the’ Institutional Wines’ on behalf of Vinos DO Utiel-Requena. The selection this year is all the more important because Requena has been chosen as the European City of Wine 2026. The DO presented the wines to the press back on 30 January.
